There’s nothing wrong with it, you just have to nut up and fucking deal with being compared to Gilda all the time.
Oh God, please dont give these guys any ideas! They will fucking make Half Pony half Bear Hybrid OC’s.
Still not giving any reason why using the classical and to-this-day standard Eagle-Lion Griffon is a problem.
Equivalent logic would conclude any unicorn mare in the purple spectrum is a Twi knockoff. Do you demand people make up new pony races?
That’s why we’ve literally never seen any other gryphon on the show that has used those colors.

A griffon has always been an eagle and a lion. Modern works play around with those occasionally, but 99% of griffons are still the old combo.
It’s still highly derivative, though. White feathered head with a brown furred body, golden beak and claws. You have the entire range of predatory bird tops and cat bottoms to pick from. Wow, you changed the feather highlights to a different color, slightly modified the beak and gave her a pony tail. This is pretty much all I can think of.
There is a big difference, the problem is people who hate OCs don’t bother to check. They just see a female griffon OC and think “clearly this is a Gilda clone”.

I have too many OCs to count and do my best to steer clear of recognisable pallets, but sometimes veer close without realising it. Or deliberately in one isolated, early case.
