I guess “Star Fox” isn’t a big enough series to get more then 2 characters. Be thankful we got two given how niche Star Fox is. (Meanwhile “Fire Emblem” gets 6. Making it the third highest series in SSB, only outdone by Mario & Pokémon. Nothing against said series, but that’s a li’l overkill. I hear FE is quite popular in Japan, while some like Star Fox, Punch-Out, Sonic, & Metroid aren’t. Those are fan-service for the Americans & Euro fans.)  
Frankly, I would’ve rather had Wolf O’Donnel come back. I like him better then Falco personally.
 
Even his new game “Star Fox Zero” is getting some mixed opinions, and barely any attention. Judging by the Eshop demo, (which also includes a well animated official anime short) the new controls aren’t as bad as some say, but they may take a li’l getting used to if you’re used to Star Fox 64.

And that dog got into Smash Bros., but Krystal didn’t.
