As if you can run away from the US when it comes to cultural/sociological impacts.  
They basically are a mobster empire at this point, swimming in debt but with the guns to say “Who’s gonna collect? You? Now since you’re here, lets go over some new ground rules…”  
Nothing Demonoid did in Ukraine was illegal by any national standard of theirs, and yet they got shut down by pressure from the MPAA/RIAA and US Senate. They basically believe they not only own the whole internet except for those “wild west pirate havens” of Russia and China, but they believe they can enforce all US law anywhere else. What’s scary is how many times other governments ALLOW the US to enforce laws which aren’t on their own books, especially in the name of ‘protexting teh chirrun from buwwies and molestias.’ It seems like as far as US legislature and judicial enforcers are concerned, they really are ‘world police’ and they feel a responsibility to kick over the rights and freedoms of other NATIONS in order to keep ‘naughty thoughts and images or geo-political/religious dissent’ off the web.
 
…And they don’t understand why the rest of us want to blow them the fuck up. :\

You know, Americans have been leaving the US “in record numbers” recently. 150,000 just last year. People are waking up from the dream to see the horrible nightmare they are in. Leave America for now and forever. Leave while you can.

No seriously, after learning about some extremely horrible tax laws here in the US, I was already seriously thinking about moving to Canada. CISPA may just be the final push for me to leave.

Like it matters what we think. 90% of Americans favored enhanced background checks when buying guns (not something I agree with, but that’s besides the point), you know what Congress did? Turn down the vote. Same thing happened with, I believe it was, Megaupload (or Mediafire?) SOPA didn’t get signed into law, but the government shut the site down anyway.

I wrote an angry letter to my congressman.

just what the hell is wrong with you america, don´t you write “freedom of thought” on your flag anymore

now the gov guys finally lost it, huh?
