On Tumblr or any social media site there is the big question of how to get noticed because there are billions of people in this world. If you’re trying to get an original idea out in the open it’s not hard but it is difficult if you start off that way. This also depends on why you want to get noticed. Personally I want to make people smile and get good feelz from my work. For that I pander, simply pandering. If you start by creating fan art of a tv show, movie, videogame, etc. then you’ll be able to draw in a following of people who like your art. Then you can start throwing your own ideas into the mix because you’ll have a large enough following of people who will see it and may like it. However always do art that you enjoy. If you just pander to pander and you hate the art you’re creating it doesn’t turn out that good. But if you love the pandering and making art that people will enjoy then you are set. Please understand that the drawing is satirical, I’m not meaning to offend anyone and I’m not the leading expert on how to get noticed on social media sites. This is my knowledge from about 7 years of observation on the internet. In my opinion pandering is what fandoms are made of and it’s a good thing for with all them we would all be trapped in our own little worlds having emotional heart cramps at the shows and series we view.Twilight, Sunset ~ Hasbro

pandering lets people narrow down their search results preemptively, so that they don’t have to sift through every single result on “filming kissing satire” to find yours. so even though people would have loved your own ideas that didn’t revolve around celebrities, until you make yourself easy to find with a big “baconxsparkle” flag, they won’t know you exist. it seems that people like pandering more than they really do, because some of that appreciation has nothing to do with the celebrities, and only exists because they were able to find you.
