Description
Being a huge fan of Payday 2 with hundreds of hours in the game, I decided I wanted to make a mod for the game, and I decided that modding in a weapon charm of my main OC, Heavy Weather, would be an easy task.
it was not an easy task
Big ups to a MrVavlo for helping me understand how to mod the game, and for uglybad for making the N64 horse model in the first place!
Link to the mod can be found here.
Don’t think there was any cel shading coded into the model itself. I’m content with how it is lol, this was more of a technical exercise in learning how to mod the game to begin with

I don’t think PD2 has true global lighting (much like it doesn’t have true physics on the charms, just an offset), and you’re especially going to get that hard line with any low-poly model (like you said, it was “N64” style). For as small as my pony packages are, they use the standard SFM model, so there isn’t any harsh shading thanks to higher polys.
Was there some form of cel shading coded into the charm? I know that exists for the “cartoon” masks. If not, I think that’s just something you’ll have to live with, without increasing the polys.
the purple gradient on the legs and the tail gradient is part of the OC, but i also thought the lighting looked weird on it from some angles
notably there’s a split running right down her face in this pic here, which i thought was just down to the shadow of the gun she would be attached to, but its like that regardless
not sure what else to make of it lol
