Could someone enlighten me how Rarity could be seen as one of those alpha bitch-type characters that seem to infest high schools? I mean, sure she’s snooty, but I don’t recall any occasions where she’s outright mean to someone. Snide, yes. Mean, not so much.

i assume you mean “no one else” and that statement is wrong  
she makes fashion because that’s her profession.  
while she does do it for herself, she also makes fashion for her customers and she gets paid for it.
