If I remember correctly, this was one of the few (maybe only?) Pokemon movies that don’t follow the usual “stop a villain who wants to capture & use a legendary Pokemon for an evil scheme” story.

he picks a fight with a pokemon that wants to be left alone and get’s the ones who raised him frozen in ice and then runs away the whole move. that’s the plot of the movie.
