I didn’t even realize that those were fake eyes until you pointed that out. That’s a clever way of incorporating the eye spot markings from the bug into her design. It kind of makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint as well. Things won’t hunt her while she’s sleeping if they think she’s wide awake watching them.
