It’s hard to find a good balance and I think a mixture of your improvements and the original is best - the head could definitely stand to be smaller at least whereas the rear in the original is fine as it is

I wasn’t trying to make it anatomically accurate. I was just making the proportions more appealing. Most of what I did was make the face more show accurate. I made the chest smaller and the butt bigger to fit with the size of the head. I’m well aware of what a real horse looks like, but making this look like a real horse was not my intention. I just wanted it to look more like the show.

Well, I certainly don’t mind about it.

I absolutely love this picture and I love all of assasinmonkey’s work. They do amazing shading and coloring and the backgrounds are superb. However, I often think that sometimes the proportions look a bit weird, or there might be slightly too much shine on the body of the ponies. Maybe it is just their artistic style and that’s great! Everyone has their own style and everyone does things a certain way, but this time the odd proportions really stuck out to me an bothered me, so I did a little edit readjusting the proportions and SLIGHTLY reducing the shine. I hope if assasinmonkey ever sees this they don’t take offense to it.
