People chalk this up to aesthetics but you have to understand a 90 min movie will never sacrifice even a second of runtime to something unimportant.
A masterfully done movie of any length doesn’t sacrifice a second of runtime to something unimportant, but how sure are you that a My Little Pony movie is actually crafted with that kind of impeccable level of mastery?

They could be warding off an iteration of wendigos for all we know. Or something else completely different. My theory on why Izzy is so isolated from the other unicorns is because she’s jinxed in some way.
What is this luminessence that unicorns can see. They’re afraid that pegasi can steal it. So what if its stolen? What does it do or what is their Sparkle for? G5 unicorns are very mysterious. The crystals in their forest glowed when Sunny restored magic. People chalk this up to aesthetics but you have to understand a 90 min movie will never sacrifice even a second of runtime to something unimportant.
