It all started when Gentlecolt said about how much he hated his life in the vent thread. I then replied to him, saying that he should draw something pleasant to make himself feel better, since he is an artist. So, he drew this.

So, um… why the dark visual tones of the image? Maybe a bit of context could help shed some light on things… erm… no pun intended.

… It looks like someone who’s lost everything, desperately clinging to his belief in an imaginary pony friend, who suddenly appears in his final moments not to give him a way out, but to comfort him in his darkest hour before his inevitable suicide; He’s lost almost everything from his family and job to the clothes on his back, and now he loses his mind, but not enough to stave off his loss of life, about to take place.
… but that’s just how I see it, with the barren walls, single light, naked figure, and generally sad, depressing scene being depicted.
