huh, well what do you know. “Regardless of the discussion” just sounds wrong though…but if someone wanted to say “taken the discussion into account” but shorter, how would one say it then if “regardless” is what i thought “irregardless” means?

Basically, when its clear no one is going to be convinced and you’ve fully stated your position, continued debate, at least to me, comes off as being insecure to the point of trying to either being convince other people reading their conversation to come in and help support their opinion, or even to convince themselves they actually believe what they’ve been arguing.

I actually gained a lot of respect for you now, i think hypocrisy is one of the worst things a human can do, so if someone tries to avoid that, that’s pretty cool in my book.

I’d continue arguing with you but that’d make me a hypocrite since I said continuing to argue was pointless to someone else trying to convince someone who wasn’t going to change their opinion regardless.
Sure, a ruler of an entire kingdom with as much responsibilities as twilight has time to spend 8 hours casting a spell just for that, instead of, you know, just making sure twilights assistant keeps the windows shut
Its not like she knows some pony, somepony she’s know from fillyhood, and is now in a personal, professional relationship with, someone who appeared fairly prominently in the same episode, someone who has shown talent for casting various bubble-type spells, someone who once kept a city-sized barrier up for hours if not days or even weeks all by herself, who is personally invested in getting her some rest or anything.
Except someone actually needs to cast that spell while Twilight was, you know, unconscious

If Twilight always sleeps like a log when she’s exhausted, she might not have been worried about noises at all. It was Spike that was worried about noises waking her up.
Presumably it requires concentration to maintain.
And proof that such a spell exists.
