My headcanon is that she’s from somewhere in the sunny southwest.
Trouble is, so might be Free Throw. (Then again, I guess Fillydelphia sent him.)
That is, I can’t believe that each pony present is a delegate from somewhere else. I see lots of ponies from the Ponyville-Canterlot-Cloudsdale area and more Manehattan Ponies than I believe Manehattan has boroughs.
Not to mention that there are more gems than delegates.

What, her delusional ramblings from not sleeping for 3 days not convincing enough for you? She cuddled a pile of books like a pillow.
It would’ve been more convincing if Twilight was suddenly too sick to work.
Also on another note I REALLY want to know the story of that basketball dude.
“Constant bashing?” Spike had a lot of moments to shine in-between his slapstick. And Spike’s episodes do not have the exact same moral. We’ve only had three episodes of Spike’s greediness getting him into trouble and they’re all spread out in seasons 2, 3, and 5.

Yeah, she doesn’t know Spike that well, so I don’t think she would assume it would get that bad.
how many episodes are we going to have where spike ruins everything and the message at the end is always the same “do not be greedy, do not be bad”
Sounds right, same with Celly and Wona.
I see Cadance calling Spike out, but Spike has retorts to the obvious and Caddy doesn’t want to overstep on Twis “mothership” of Spike by punishing or disciplining him.
My headcanon is that Cadence was busy herself, which is why she left Spike in charge of Twilight to begin with.
