nope, all that says is that she will not outlive her friends. It does not say she isn’t immortal.
 
Another way to think about it, is now that they are ALL infused with the elements of harmony from the box, they may be the eternal holders of the elements.

I haven’t seen anything canon to either support nor deny her lifespan.
 
IDW comics are not show canon btw, simply Hasbro licensed the characters to IDW, in much the same way as Batman movies aren’t comic canon.

People complained about Lauren Faust leaving the show…It continued to get better.

point is..people don’t know any better. I feel that there is nothing that will make the show fail until it just naturally gets stale.
 
They could make all of the mane 6 alicorns, and I feel it would keep getting better until the good story ideas stop coming.
