The Fluttershy comparison was made null, as he simply moved the leg inwards and cut and dragged the eye positioning. The proportions are the same afaik.

Depends on what you bought, I guess.
AFAIK now DP is several people; at least one of them draws for reals, one manages (or managed) PR, and one did the comics and quick “doodles” with traces.
Or something.
Drawing original fanart and selling it is already a morally gray area when it comes to the law.
Tracing the art and selling it is flat out solidly illegal.
So what?
He’s making money out of the whole deal, while advertising that he’s drawing is “like the show”, that’s the problem.
It was so obvious!
I thought if people felt cheated they should reflect on being partially at fault themselves, for being easy to fool.
I didn’t know he was selling the former, though.
Well, of course the issue is controversial, a formerly respected artist turned out to be a cheater who was charging money for things he really didn’t made so of course there’s going to be drama and damage control linked to this.
Selling handmade fanart is a thing, selling stuff directly traced from Hasbro’s cartoon is another.
So, OP is admitting to being a duck.
/not a serious comment.
Fun fact, I tacked on the “OP is trying to start stuff” tag myself, as the issue is rather controversial.
DB automatically tacks on the duck tag with it!
Oh well, at least the site staff can see who has been editing the tags.
