Cheers, mate.
Thanks, I had no knowledge of any of those stuff you just said. I recently created a link to my profile, and now I’m waiting confirmation. I suppose the icon will pop up just after the staff confirms the link.
Now I comprehend what is the difference with artist and author, thanks very much.
@gabrielwoj
Author is more for when someone writes something (which we don’t have many of, being an image booru and all), or if it’s advertising a fan fiction. Like if you did the fan art for a cover of a story I wrote, you could put artist:gabrielwoj, author:dtkraus. Again, though, it doesn’t happen much.
The big advantage of putting “artist” too is that the tag color stands out, so people are more likely to click on it and see your other stuff.
Which reminds me. Did you know the site has a “link” feature so you can link your art here to other sites like your DA and such? It makes it easier for folks here to find your other websites, thus advertising you and boosting your views and traffic.
Once you link the account, you’ll have links on your profile page like this, and those same links will be at the top of the screen when someone clicks your artist tag like this. You’ll also get this:
Beside your username so people will know you’re an artist whenever you comment or post in the forums.
If you’re interested, you can click here and add them, or if you want more info, there’s a forum topic about it too, or you could even PM me if you want. It’s totally optional, too :D
Yea, I agree.
I don’t know the complete difference with both, I suppose artist when I’ve made something from the show and author when I make an OC or something?.
I can switch to “artist” on this image and all the other images I’ve made and uploaded here.
Also, why use “author” instead of “artist”?
