Maybe, but debates on the canonicity of a product within a series only comes up when the creators of the product and series don’t set a clear precedence on what is and isn’t canon.
A good example of a series that their creator that has kept a nice control of is and isn’t canon is the Fallout series. 1, 2, 3, and New Vegas are all canon. Tactics and some of the canceled projects are…semi-canon. Brotherhood of Steel is so laughably uncanon that most everybody just ignores it exists.

I think this is most canon side project outside FiM itself. Amy Rogers and Meghan still tell other to read it if they want to know more about Celestia past. So i doubt they will ever contradict it.
