It could be the way I say. It could be not the way I say. I don’t know. Neither do you, by the way. You have no proof either. Also, still not “butthurt” but keep flinging that word at me. You’re not making mad or wanting to shut up or whatever. Keep violating rule 0, bro.

You are saying a possible way it happened is the actually means that it happend without prooof that it is fact.
You deny that it may not of happened that way and assert it only happened that way.
That is being butthurt as you can’t accept that you could be wrong and his fame had nothing to do with it.

I really don’t care what you call it.
i, personally, of my entirely subjective opinion, do not like that horsey famous fans get to work on the show because of their personal relationships with the staff. And I don’t care who doesn’t like my opinion. And I will continue to share that opinion whenever I want because nobody can stop me from sharing my opinion because sharing my opinion doesn’t hurt anybody. And if that annoys anyone, looking at you professor nightjack, that is their problem. Not mine.

@Prof.NightJack
that is the process of events.
They became a fan of the show. They created content inspired by the show. They shared that content with the fan community. They became popular. They became so popular that they got to constantly rub elbows with the show staff. They became friends with the show staff. The show staff offered their friends work and collaboration projects.
For the record, I’m not “butthurt” about any of this. I’m just saying it raises the red flags of people taking advantage of fame and their connections.

In this case, if it even is happening, it’s not causing anything that may be illegal as nothing of gryphon’s own work is going to be in the show, any money he get from it is the same as any other extra VA will get, so no, it’s NOT illegal.

@Background Pony #B1AE
>They used their fandom popularity to get familiar with the staff, then used the staff to pimp their names outside of the fandom.
Okay then, WHERE IS YOU FUCKING PROOF? Oh what you have none so you are making assumptions and causing drama just because you are butthurt about it.
STOP IT.

It’s called a conflict of interest in the real world.

No, it’s called “having connections,” and it’s a good way to get a leg up in any industry. Nothing unethical about it.

That’s trading of influences for yah. Which, yes, its illegal. Mostly only in goverment.

Different circumstances for a popular show and getting preferential treatment as a popular member of the fandom who became friends with staff members and a friggin elementary school.
Broken analogy.

Anyway, I don’t like it and it raises my eyebrow about the impartiality… I don’t care how “great” these guys are. They used their fandom popularity to get familiar with the staff, then used the staff to pimp their names outside of the fandom.

So what you saying is it’s wrong to know anyone already working in something you start working in?
I guess that means I can’t try to get a job at an elementary school because I know people in the school board, doesn’t matter if I like working with kids and have a lot of respect for teachers and even get the job on my own, just knowing someone already working in it means it’s wrong?

You missed the whole point…
I’m saying if people don’t like the idea of a famous fan working on the show is not the same as starting all sorts of drama over it claiming they only got it because they are famous, if they just want to state how they don’t like the idea that is fine but with no proof to back up a false reason to make drama about it is not the same thing, so people saying there is something wrong with him working on the show for x reason when there is nothing to say that is the reason is just them being butthurt over it.

You don’t like the idea of blackgryph0n working on the show but are not going to stir shit up over it? Good, it’s your opinion and you can think that.
You hate the idea and have to cause drama based of what you think is the reason he got the work with no proof to back it up? No, stop, and shut up, we don’t need that crap.

How many “famous fans” do you know live with show staff and their families?
I can name 2. Mando, and BG. And both of them have worked with Ingram in regards to MLP.
Background Pony #969B
@Background Pony #B1AE
If that was the case, wouldn’t there be way more “famous fans” working on the show then?

but you don’t have proof that he isn’t getting preferential treatment due to his fandom fame or connection to Creber.

No, that is false AND bullshit.
I said with no PROOF, anyone can make an accusation about anything, it’s if they have proof or not that justifies if they have a good reason, and with NO proof then the accusation falls flat on it’s ass and means nothing in the end but “I don’t like this so I’m make drama over it”.
Background Pony #FC3F
@Prof.NightJack
False. Accusations of conflict of interest need only be percieved to get any attention because, invariably, trading of influences for favour occurs behind close doors. This is why, even with records showing other possibilities, that sort of behaviour is illegal in situations that aren’t just hoers drama.

Then again, hoers drama.

But as I said, unless we get confirmation that their fame did play a part in it then it’s only people complaining without a real reason, we don’t know the details so there is no real proof that you reason to hate it is justified and not just bitching for nothing.
Background Pony #FD75

If they are fandom famous and get to be close to the staff because of that fame, that speculative connection will always be there regardless of any “skill” or “talent” people claim got them the role.

And what if their fame had nothing to do with them getting the spot with the show?
Are you going to get upset over that too?
We don’t know the details of how they get it, for all we know they got the work just like anyone that isn’t a famous fans, unless we get details telling us their fame played a part in them getting connected to the show then you don’t gave a reason to be upset other then you just don’t like it.
And that’s the problem with most of people getting upset over it, they jump to the conclusion that is the only reason they get it.
Background Pony #FD75
@Background Pony #45B7
It’s not so much fans->staff that I have a problem with.
It’s more like famous fans using their fame to get close to the staff and then using their friendship to skip to the head of the talent application line.
