Twilight may have the intelligence, but she does not have the overall character. Rarity has more in common with Tony, and therefore the only that can carry Tony ’s personality.

Rarity makes a way better Black Widow than Fluttershy. Also Twilight should be Iron Man, as she is the only pony in this entire group that’s intelligent enough to make the armor in the first place. The personality can come after the fame and fortune, because obviously she’d have to invent some amazing new technology to get all this money.

-Intelligence  
-An assistant
 
Things Rarity has in common with Iron Man:
 
-A profitable business  
-Ego  
-Kidnapped and put in a cave by a shady group  
-Got out of said imprisonment mostly on her own  
-Makes her own dresses, like Tony makes his own weaponry and armors  
-Scene-stealer  
-Light blue glowy energy  
-Generous (relates to philantrophy)  
-Beautiful and charming (closest you’ll get to a playboy)
 
And Spike makes a better Hulk.

Twilight should be Iron Mare, Rarity should be Black Widow, Fluttershy should be the Hulk, AJ and RD should switch.

^ Yeah, even with the whole element of Loyalty thing I’d say Applejack would be a better Captain Equestria and rainbow Dash a better Thor based on their personalities. I do love Spike-hulk though.
