Mind you, I’m not saying the existing set-up is impossible. It’s just that, for relationships between dissimilar individuals, it helps if at least one party involved is flexible.

So we can ship whoever we want with Blossomforth?

Or is that too flexible?

But yeah, that’s part of the problem with trying to ship Twilight, she doesn’t do “flexible” too well, and in fact can occasionally veer into “stick up her plot” territory. She’s loosened up a bit over the course of the past four seasons, but I don’t think she’s entirely stopped being rigid. This would mean her partner might need to be more accommodating than she herself is capable of being right now, and that’s not necessarily fair.

Myself, I’d swap Twilight with either one of Applejack and Rarity. I think Twilight is too serious to put up with Pinkie’s antics all the time, which would be required for a relationship to work. However, Rarity has a kind of silliness about her, making her a good partner for Pinkie, but also knows when to get serious, letting her fit with Twilight. Conversely, Applejack is down-to-earth and sensible, but also capable of lightening up when needed, leading to similar possibilities.

I’d switch Pinkie and Fluttershy, personally, if I had to ship them all with each other. I can’t help but think Twilight would do best with a partner who could provide stability, particularly in those moments when she herself starts to become unstable. Meanwhile, Pinkie and Dash are both energetic, passionate ponies, but in very different ways; they’d be able to keep up with each other, but also to surprise one another as well. (Assuming Rainbow Dash would date someone who couldn’t fly; she might not want to be in a relationship with somepony she can’t take home with her.)

Have Rarity and Rainbow switch places, and that would be my ideal setup if I had to ship all of them with each other.

That said, I do prefer Rarijack to Rarishy.

Please, for the love of all things good in the world and some of the more pleasant neutral ones, learn to use filters. It isn’t that hard. You can do it with literally one click. It saves you the trouble of seeing things you don’t like, and saves the rest of us the trouble of listening to endless complaints.

Seriously, I’m sick and tired of the amount of fanatical Flutterdash hate I see from people who can’t be bothered to simply click a single button. Some even go so far as to downvote Flutterdash images before they’ve rendered. What’s the big deal, anyway?
