No, it’s more like want.  
As a noble, she’s never actually needed anything in her life. When she became Celestia’s Student, she was guaranteed at least a place in Celestia’s Court. She then became a Princess. All this with no true hardship.  
Unlike all her friends, she has never had to experience life. She has had everything handed to her. And because of this, she can’t be told ‘no’.

oh I’ve seen that tweet before really i cant believe that I mean she dosnt want to spoil anything, wait let me reword that, She CANT spoil anything or else Hasbro will have her head and like I said I don’t think they would kill off anybody (besides sombra) as it would be a Death wish!
 
And by that I’m speaking for the fandom, I know some don’t like to admit it but there’s a lot of crazy people that would do something drastic which is sad knowing that they would do something stupid over a cartoon.

It’s a kid show. They aren’t going to kill off any of the main characters. You can interpret her as mortal or immortal as you like, but the show is never going to address her mortality.

By saying she won’t outlive her friend, they’ve basically confirmed that Twilight either makes her friends immortal, or dies in some way before they do, most likely from some genetic fuckup from being a Unicorn noble.
