I think the reason the rest of the main 5 hated that song so much was not because she was being vain and narcissistic, but because…

Okay, maybe I’m just being cynical.
Yeah. I wish there was more actual rock. I can understand the title (Thank you theme song), but it might have been cooler (No, I’m not going there) if there had been more rock music. The only song off the top of my head that I think could qualify as rock is Awesome As I Wanna Be.
Oh yeah, the Equestria Girls parody series. I remember those.
Still wish they’d at least attempted to put real rock music in the movie. Then again, most of the songs from these movies just sound like bad Christian pop mixed in with Katy Perry and the High School Musical soundtrack.
Except for “Under Our Spell” of course. That was awesome.
Yes. Also, in the Rainbow Rocks video for EQUESTRIA GIRLS (The parody one), the rival group is The Rainbow Rocks. Rocky and Tom are both members. I think it came out before the Maud episode. Also, I don’t think they’re playing a song with “rock” in the title.
Good point, seeing as how there are plenty of rainbows within the movie, but no actual rock music.

Unless you count Boulder’s short cameo.
Well, it IS the theme song. And it provides a good explanation for the title of the movie.
