Yes, but everyday, there is a little death.
better assassinate the character of the guy who jailed him
otherwise revenge might make us feel bad
i agree! for my country, at least, we have way too many incarcerated people!
for ponies, it feels so wrong but looks so good!!
of course, we should keep in mind this is based off of a book that was written in 1884 where there wasn’t any big problems with the criminal justice system but your point is even more valid now in the 21st century
The prison system is wrong as hell in my opinion. If a person has done something do deserve more than 5-7 years of prison, he\she should probably be put to extreme slave labor somewhere or used up in any other way… Or maybe even executed. This way the prisons wouldn’t be overfilled and criminals would get what they deserved. And government wouldn’t spend money on them… instead they would spend them on… on… on war or further corruption >_>
Anyway, sitting 7 years on your butt basically doing nothing does nothing good to dissuade you from repeating your crimes. This much time taken away from your life and spoiled reputation kinda prevents absolute majority of prisoners from having a successful crime-free life afterwards. So what’s the point? Killing real criminals would provide much more motivation for law-abiding individuals to remain as such.
P.S. I’ve never broken the law in my life… though I MIGHT have some difficulties with following the law in the future (though it is unlikely and there probably won’t be any major stuff involved), I would certainly prefer death over rotting in a prison for 7 or more years. It can’t be called a life if you are not free to decide tour fate. My decision would be to end it before I lose my freedom =P
