For a split second, I believed Sunset was gonna have shit hit the fan. I was disappointed when the three just ganged up on her and she just cowered.

See, it’s been established by the second movie pretty clearly that dark alleys are Sunset Shimmer’s ideal setting for exposition and monologuing.
 
In this particular scene I thought things would get a little rough, but it ended up more that the Dazzlings got to her here. However, I would love to see her relapse briefly into her bully mode when threatening someone in the future.
