Adagio protected her own amulet from Sunset Shimmer before when she reached out to touch it, completely by reflex. Sonata does the same in this scene!
It’s basically where their magical powers come from, mostly, so it makes sense as to why they are so overprotective of those things to the point where it’s basically a reflex to shield it from anything that gets too close.
Here, me. Can’t stop looking at Aria’s hip swing.
Aria: She’s right, Sonata. When she does it, it’s menacing. When you do it, it makes it embarrassing to just be near you.
