Maybe she does use a lyre, just not for the shown song. Their band’s logo prominently showed a lyre. Plus with a piano, Lyra & Bon Bon can be shown playing the exact same instrument without it looking too weird.

I don’t care what any of the neigh-sayers… say, Lyrabon is so canon.

Why doesn’t Lyra use a lyre? Don’t get me wrong… it’s great seeing Lyra and BonBon together, but you’d think a person whose pony equivalent as a lyre for a cutie mark would use a lyre.
