Typical reply, which I expected, but that’s not at all what I meant. Derpy-lovers can have their fun all they want, as long as it’s OFF the show. Pandering or acknowledgement in-canon of any kind of fandom is always the hole that sinks the ship.
Those people can care about some worthless background character with no personality all they want, but they don’t get to complain when pandering to their simple-minded love of said worthless character interferes with episodes about the REAL characters. This episode will forever be remembered as a “Derpy” episode, and NOT the Rainbow Dash episode that it IS. The show is much better when it creates story arcs and characterization, and tries to deliver a message and moral, not when it panders to the lowest common denominator. Think I’ll send a few messages to Yamino and Hasbro later.
@Dashu
Some things matter more to other people than they do to you. That doesn’t mean they haven’t thought about it or that they have no right to make comments or that they aren’t “sane”. Get off yer high horse already.
Now, let’s wait for all the whiners to complain that she should have been brought back earlier, that she should have more screen time, that she should talk and whatever else they find to bitch about.
Until every sane person wished that she never appeared again.
the original voice was a mistake, tabitha tought she was voicing a male pony, she was so ashame that asked for it to be changed, so there is not way her first voice ever returns.
@PrisonedMuffin
But the original voice had several different modes. Note the difference between “Nice work Rainbow Dash!” and “You okay Rainbow Dash?” All they would really have to do is use the version that sounded most feminine or whatever.
@Millennial Dan
There’s no way she speaks again. She’ll probably stay mute to avoid controversy or to not disappoint the fans (since only the old voice is acceptable).
