Even Lauren Faust never said they didn't ever do " stereotypical stuff" heck, in s1e08, the girls are having a sleepover. The original point was to have a girls show that did not make the girls ONLY into one dimensional stereotypes. You can be well rounded and still do something "stereotypical" of you.
It doesn't punish those things, in fact, it shows both sides, you can be strong, and not be a stereotype, even if you do some of those things.
Heck, myself, sometimes, you might find me at a videogame store, othertimes, you might see me spitting gravel or mud from the back tires of a Honda three Wheeler, among other things of course.
Let's just say, if you have seen me IRL, the last thing you would think is "brony", if at all.
