Of course, what complicates matters is that Flash Sentry is a member of Shining Armor and Cadance’s household guard. (This is why he was part of her security detail in “Threes a Crowd”.) So, he has to report directly to Shining Armor. My guess is he used to serve under Shining in the Canterlot royal guard, and Shining thought well enough of him to bring him up to the Crystal Empire.
Andrew Francis and Vincent Tong, the real-life VAs, are total bros and have a lot of similar hobbies and interests (and motorcycles). I figure their respective characters have a similar relationship.
Agreed, but I imagine they get off to a very bad start, with Shining Armor being an overly-overprotective brother, who constantly keeps tabs on Twilight and Flash’s activities. After realizing he’s making things worse, rather than better, Shining accepts that his sister is a full-grown mare and that she doesn’t need 24-hour protection. Eventually, he tries to make peace, by getting to know Flash better…
can’t talk. eating.
…then I will poop napalm.
I love spicy food.
That’s the best part!
