That’s good, I look forward to it. Though, I hope it remains neutral like the other one tried to be.
Still, this one does seem off to a better start critically.
It wasn’t that bad, I felt. I think some bronies hated it, because it kinda showed how geeky we are, (face it, we’re all nerds/geeks, embrace it!) or some didn’t care for the fan “stories” in it, and such. Overall it didn’t seem that biased (either way) or show any “creepy” stuff.
The animated segments by JanAnimations were widely praised though, sense they were quite funny, and well done.
I can kinda see it if you only focus on the negative aspects of the adult fandom, because an irresponsible sense of entitlement and shallow dedication to selfish phonygalitarianism are intrinsic to hippiedom, and boy howdy does that describe some of the vocal minority of outliers in this fandom.

sometimes i have those feelings. not all the time. but it does have a better community than most fandoms. even similar ones like the furry fandom aren’t as good in the socialization aspect. and considering the amount of people i’ve found here who are nice, maybe even if it isn’t entirely what the fandom is about, perhaps there’s some of that in there anyways.
The animated segment ‘sung’ by John deLancie referenced naughty things, and I’m pretty sure it mentioned one or two other things elsewhere; on top of that, it did not have very good critical acclaim. But if this one already has an outside source - and critical acclaim from the Tribeca Film Festival - maybe it has a chance.
Maybe.

From the sounds of it, it’s more like viewing various subcultures and similarities and differences in relation to bronies. Still a bad frame of reference.
>“new hippies”
how the fuck does someone come to that conclusion
Yeah, didn’t the first documentary kind of unintentionally show some of the creepier sides of the fandom?
it’ll take a lot more than one doc. at least it might be a step in the right direction.
I actually have hope for this. The other doc had some good parts, but this might be the one that actually manages to get decent publicity.
