Well, male horses are essentially herbivore versions of male bears, so unless they’re satisfied, they’ll just kill the mare’s foal. So, the 4:1 male to female universe in Weaver’s stuff could explain some certain behaviors.

In the current universe, there are 80% females to 20% males. This probably makes the guys seems like you’e got more of a chance. Whereas in the rule 63 verse it’s the other way round so the colts are probably a bit more aggressive and forward.
 
Then again this is weaver who made twist wish for “fat cocks in her snatch!” so it might just be weaver’s twist
