One is named Mint Flower, the tan earth pony filly.
Or he’s small for his age, hence the nickname.
I didn’t think it was padding, it just felt awkward that they used nearly the same animation again to show the extended part of what Sweetie Belle missed yeah it does sound like padding nevermind
Although that’s the only thing I had any problem with in the episode. The rest was great IMO.

I doubt ponies in this show age different than us. 5-year-olds look different than 8 or 9-year-olds, but their not “toddlers”.
Maybe not for people.
I don’t think 5-year-olds are what we consider “toddlers”.
