Fan made is hardly a way of putting it, when the likeness of the Button Mash adventures’ setting was too easily confused with the official product. If anything, I think this fandom is probably the one constantly setting their foot in the fire, by making sure their animations looks as much as the show as possible.

Being a fan of show doesn’t give you special privileges with the content. If a company doesn’t want you to use their characters, they are well within their rights to do so.

As people can’t stop saying, businesses exist to make money, as much money as possible, which ever way they deem fit. Too many times, their ways are deplorable. That desire for more and more money with less and less to keep them ethical, moral, and hell, even legal, is nothing but pure greed. Greed is one of the biggest problems in the modern world.
There is a difference between using it and getting paid for it while using it and NOT getting paid for it, while there is ALSO a difference between using the ACTUAL product that they have made themselves and something FAN made.

Not all corporations are evil, some are actually supportive of their fans or whatever have you. Yes most are, but in this case you are basing them on an opinion you’ve already made about all corporations.

I want to add, fans of the show couldn’t tell the difference in the case of Picture Perfect Pony and that’s not an exaggeration, they really thought it was from the show on the forums that I’ve been following.
Unfortunately for you, pony porn is not likely to be confused by the casual viewer for content produced by Hasbro. This is the issue, here. Jan made a high quality animation that matches the show’s setting, tone and style to the point that someone who hasn’t watched the show wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
