By the way, I think you have that a bit backwards. What makes heated debates unpleasant is if people take it personally and start exchanging insults, snide remarks, and other such things, not the argument itself.

What part of his argument regarding legal stuff is he wrong about? He’s saying that they have the legal right to shut down projects that use their ip, but that he doesn’t disagree that it’s right just because it’s legal.
The other part has to do with the claim that Hasbro must shut them down or risk losing their copyright, which he is correct in claiming is a false statement. That’s trademark, not copyright.

So… just let the crazy person keep calling anyone he disagrees with “evil” and “shitty” and “immoral” and “Satan”, and let him keep baldly stating legally incorrect mumbo jumbo without refuting it, then? That doesn’t exactly sound like “agreeing to disagree”. The wishful thinking he’s passing off as legal knowledge here is dangerous, and it’s the sort of I-want-it-so-it-must-be-true nonsense that’s going to trick the next M6 into thinking they can make another project like this and get away with it, when, well, it’s kindasorta obvious that they can’t. It doesn’t set a very good moderation precedent to let someone pitch a hissy fit at being called on the legal misinformation they’re spreading until a Mod steps in and fires the STOP THAT cannon, then letting them keep doing it anyway. If we’re both getting told to STFU or GTFO, is it too much to ask that it actually get enforced on both of us? He’s still in here spouting the same legal delusions and calling anyone he disagrees with “evil”, he’s just not directing it solely at me any more. Well they did pay for it. I can assure you that they aren’t just drawing and animating out of the goodness of their heart. They got bills to pay to and playing ball with Hasbro McMoneybags will help them more than any moral claim.
