Think of it as if she was talking about adults and role models then. To the crusaders, all adult ponies treat them in a condescending way “be patient” “wait for it” “find yourself” and all that sissy advice about getting a cutie mark. To the crusaders then, all adults are a bunch of cutie marked braggers that have forgotten about the feeling and desperation that comes in the search oneself, so in a sense, they can’t find an actual role model with which they can indetify and that actually shares their viewpoint, so they believe no one of those role models actually feel like them.

But for a manipulative, chaotic bastard like Discord to fall for it? I just don’t know. Is this the same Discord who mentally broke the main six? Who laughed in sadistic glee as their friendship fell apart? And now he is being easily manipulated by child like innocence?

Yeah, but the difference is hundred upon thousands of fillies and colts are going through the same thing the CMC are. They aren’t alone in their search for meaning. There are ponies who completely understand what they are going through, because they are going through the same thing. So for Sweetie to state that “No one can really understand us” is a complete pile of manure.

I don’t think it was Sweetie Belle’s intention to directly compare the CMC’s situation of not having found their place in life yet, to Discord’s lifetime of existing outside the norm of society… she just happened to say something that hit a little too close to home for him, in how it was worded.

ummmmm, its less puberty and more purpose and meaning. they likely have puberty seperate to the cutie mark stuff. the cutie mark is about knowing who you are and what you are truly capable of, and creating your own purpose.
with discord, he struggles with having a purpose. he has only done what has amused him and does not have a true purpose, nor contributes to his environment any. originally it was enough for him, but thanks to fluttershy, he would probably start asking questions about what he should be doing.

Not having gone through puberty is not the same as being a mad chaos god. Sweetie Belle’s logic is beyond flawed, and this is just looking to cause some cheap feels.
