But where are all of those people right now? None are in the comments section. Because if you related to her, then you’d know darn well that working together with a group of ponies to complete a task, and performing for a large group as the lead of something, are so damn far apart. Fluttershy has been on stage in Hearthswarming Eve, but she showed that she struggled with that. The odd one out is her entering the pony games.
Excluding that episode, which was odd and seemed not to be part of the continuity much at all with the retcons and such, Fluttershy has never learned this lesson.
A single lesson on not beign afraid of one thing is not going to have a global effect on you and make you totally fearless. That’s just unrealistic. FS has learned from her lessons, mainly to be more assertive, and it shows. You guys are just clueless about how people like her view things.
but twilight still hurls spells at all her problems and her friends problems, and all rarity’s friends still expect her to bring her drama couch everywhere with her
I haven’t seen much nerding out by twilight lately. And Rarity pretty much changed remarkably after S&E(though one can level said criticism to the before and after versions)
thats my point, people go oooh fluttershy is Shy AGAIN, and im all the other characters are still what they were also
You can’t always completely change everyone, no matter how much lessons they’ve learned. There will always be times when people would fall back into their true colours.
see none of the mane cast learns their lesson permenantly, the continuity isnt strong enough
Goes to show the writers will DO what they think is necessary to make the plot advance, even it makes characters look like jackasses!

Which is weird, since Pinkie, up to this point, has always been so kind to Flutters. I mean, she won’t prank her, goes to her for advice, tries to support her. Seeing her talk to Fluttershy like that was hard to watch. {Not to mention, out of character.}

the musical numbers do NOT count. like how twilight flew at the end of the musical number at the end of mmc. what happens in spontaneous song and dance, stays in spontaneous song and dance.
I’m not a big fan of Dash myself, but not because she’s overrated. No, I don’t like her jerkish attitude. I don’t hate her, but she’s definitely one of my least favorite characters in the show. {I really don’t hate any of them.}
She’s just scared in general.
