That Rarity moment in The Return of Harmony Part II makes me wonder if she really does know some form of martial art.
Rarity could have learned the martial arts as a filly. The wise lady knows how to defend herself from harm. By pony standards, Rarity is a freaking bombshell beauty. Naturally, it would attract the lowlifes and creeps.
 
Plus it helps her stay in shape. Beats a treadmill any day!
