Not true. In fact, I’d put Fluttershy’s progress, as you call it, far ahead of Dash’s. Much as I hate PYHD, you must admit that it shows quite clearly that Fluttershy does make attempts to “improve” herself, unnecessary and ill-advised as it was. Hurricane Fluttershy was similar, although it dealt with a slightly different matter. Fluttershy has endured countless doubts and difficulties, for the sake of the greater good, and for her own as well. And as I said before, it can’t be said that her gains have not been well rewarded, as her will triumphed even over Discord himself.

Well, think about Fluttershy’s first encounter with Discord. She’s very honest about any shortcomings she recognizes in herself. Rainbow Dash, however, is nothing like that. The difference between the two is undeniable.

The decisions one makes are what really matter, especially in the face of great opposition. Rainbow’s reluctance to deal with herself truly is a failure to put childish things behind her, and there’s nothing about that I find worthy of notice.
 
Human nature, you say? It is perhaps our most shameful attribute—and it is indeed everywhere, like detritus in a ghetto. Only if and when she were able to really be honest about herself would I give her much more credit.

I wouldn’t say she flat out lies about it. She just tries not to show her fears. It’s natural to want to hide weakness. Human nature. That makes her realistic and in turn, more interesting in my eyes.

That’s just the thing. She’s insecure about her faults. And that’s why she acts so tough. One of her biggest fears is failure as evidenced in Sonic Rainboom. But she doesn’t want to be perceived as weak or afraid wich is the reason for her facade of cockiness.

Like what, that she’s a brat? She is though, a lot of the time. Even in S3, she swore Scootaloo to silence regarding her being frightened in years past of a few scary stories, which she also boasted of having quickly gotten over. She’s not very mature at all, always trying to look tough, always making too much of herself. If she grew up and admitted her faults more openly, I’d probably like her more.

Lol. I’m not a kid. It doesn’t bother me that you dislike her. But that you outright trash her. A lot of people (myself included) Can relate to Dashie. I used to pretend I was confident and stuff to hide my insecurities. Just like her. And seeing you say such awful things about her is a bit upsetting.

As for this, suffice it to say it’s because of the fact that Dash has features that may be “trashed” that she’s my least favorite, not the other way around. What’s it to you, anyway? Does it bother you that much that I dislike her?

I honestly can’t remember a single instance in season 3 where Rainbow Dash bragged. Clearly, you are just looking for a reason to trash her because she is your least favorite. And Fluttershy doesn’t keep me guessing. Like, at all. xD All of her episodes basically trying to teach her the same lesson. However, she never seems to learn the lesson. Because of this, she follows the same pattern over and over, which makes her quite possibly the most predictable character on the show.

On the contrary, analyzing Dash’s whole life would take maybe five minutes. Fluttershy, on the other hand, keeps everyone guessing, even the ever-famous Digi. As for Dash’s bragging habit, if anything, she says “I’m awesome” even more now than ever.

She’s the most complex out of the 6 imo. Very deep character. Besides, she’s improved a lot since seasons 1 and 2. She seems much less braggy and arrogant now a days.
