@YetAnotherBrony
Since they’re giving her acceptance a chance and all, who knows what may happen down the road. I know Derpy has generally never been unpopular with kids, so why not?
I wouldn’t protest. I know Hasbro is a little unsure about letting Derpy back into the spotlight, but she had a major presence in this episode, and that’s some seriously good progress made.
Hopefully she’ll have some voiced lines in another episode.
@Millennial Dan
yeap, because no one have complained at the stores. but some people have complained to the show…
so i think hasbro will just pussy off forever.
@DemonioBlanco
I think you mean it “couldn’t”, dear one. And sure it could. Anything’s possible. No one ever supposed way back in the day that this crazy show would go on for five+ seasons. People thought Equestria Girls was fake. Surprises happen.
@Japanese Teeth
Especially since, from what I read at the time, the plan was for her to go back to silent cameo and minor roles; her speaking role in TRU was never planned to be more than a one-shot deal.
Given the response to that episode, I’d love to see her have a prominent speaking role once more, in an episode about dealing with being different and the insults that sometimes come with it, but I know that’s about as likely as Time Turner entering a police call box in one episode.

Considering that for the entirety of the first two seasons she never spoke and was never referred to by name. This is just going back to how she was treated in for the bulk of the first two seasons. I mean, before LRU, everyone liked her just fine without her having any speaking roles. It’s not like she was a recurring character with a speaking role.
She had nameless cameos, which everybody was fine with. Then they gave her one speaking role, which resulted in a crapton of drama and complaining and very nearly resulted in the character being removed altogether. Doesn’t surprise me at all that they’re going back to the “nameless cameo” formula.

I really don’t think anyone would protest if she spoke using Tabitha as a VA in a less doltish-sounding version of her voice. It never really sounded like she was a guy, whatever Ms. Germaine said about it.
@InsertNameHereBeSoKind
Some of us. Others won’t be happy until she says, using her original boy-by-mistake voice, “I’m Derpy Hooves, and fuck you, Yamino!”
