Then again, maybe I’m just complaining because the toys are so ugly and this whole thing is presumably come to a head in the actual show instead of a direct to DVD movie.

I remember when the product placement on this show wasn’t so hamfisted.

Gen 1 had the Rainbow of Light. This gen has the Pony of Shadows. Related??

Ok so there are 6 colors of the rainbow (at least for ponies) six keyholes and 6 main characters.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I find the rainbow power colors interesting. That and the designs, ones on the upper left, are nice, has a sort of MLP version of super saiyan vibe to it.

You can’t say it wasn’t foreshadowed at least…
