Alicorns are not goddesses. Only in fanfiction are they divine.
They’re very clearly “princesses”. Not “religious figures”. I’m pretty sure those idiots would get laughed at if they tried to assert that “princesses” are now “religious figures”.
Though with how insane some religious groups can get, I wouldn’t doubt it would actually happen…
I don’t think they’re considered deities, I think they’re just royalty. So they’re treated like anypony would treat a princess.
Yes, they raise the sun and moon, but this is a world where telekinesis is available for about 1/3rd of the population, so nothing seems too far-fetched.
Celestia and Luna are goddesses among the population, if that doesnt qualify as religion then i dont know.
What would be funny if some kind of purist fim group shows up and stirs shit against Celestia and Luna for being “religious figures” in a kid’s show.
we’re trying out an overlay feature on ob so that a second show can be watched during the stream, togglable for when characters appear to make screenshots.
also in b4 this makes purpletinker flip her shit over religion invading pony
The idea here is that many families don’t have fireplaces, so to simulate it, some networks have basically shown a yule log in a fireplace to allow families to at least feel like they have that. (it also helps cut down on staff needed during that holiday since its just monitoring the loop over and over)
Now, whether that works with ponies, I dunno, but it is relatively benign thing to do so kudos to the Hub.
Oh, that sounds nice.
I don’t think many families will be having the TV on all morning on Christmas. Especially for cartoons.
Basically a big log you burn at the “Yule” or Christmas, “Yule” being from a Germanic festival.
So you light it on Christmas eve or day with your family.
