Fifty Shades of Gray was originally a very OOC Twilight Fanfiction (but still purely about two people thinking about each other and their love using a lot of adjectives) but the creator wanted it to be published, so they made the guy not vampiric, and changed their names.
The hate is justified. Time passing may give some works another look but I doubt enough time could pass to make that book series more than a guilty pleasure.
Oh ok, then, in that case, I’ll just travel back in time and make sure Stephanie Meyer’s parents never met each other….
