Technically, they snuck in.
The Crystal Empire could be a great setting, if they’d just do something more then jack shit with it.
I kind of want to see more of it simply because we barely learned anything about it last time.

{Oddly enough, I really think he’d get along with kids. I mean, adults go for status quo, teens want to fit in, but kids they live with an open world of possibilities and imagination….}And because it’s the CMC (who’ve caused more mayham then Discord) I’ll be surprised if Equestria still stands.
I do wish Shining Armor would get more development in Season 4, though. I also want to hear him sing.

You’d think, but it actually seems more like, yes, the WH40K version of Chaos. There was a clear sadism there in addition to the simple randomness.
Frankly, my headcanon is that this is just another one of his very longterm plans, one that won’t bear fruit until long after the chronological end of the series.

True. The new comic that’s coming shows Discord being the babysitter for the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The four most unpredictable characters coming together should be catastrophic. Discord even has a chainsaw with him on the cover.
