Look again. How many victories did Zedd have before his marriage to Rita? He destroyed the Green Ranger powers… but that just led to Tommy getting the White Ranger powers and becoming even stronger. What happened after? He had both the original AND Ninja powers destroyed, had the Rangers so screwed at one point that he was able to enter the Command Center, nearly killed Kimberly, and BLEW UP THE COMMAND CENTER at the end of the season. And before you point out that that last one was technically Goldar and Rito, it was still his plan.
