I’m a bit wary of including that tag if we’re not absolutely sure (as in, having the alleged original image to compare it to).
Unfortunately, it was literally the only thing on the site tagged with “derivative work”, so I changed it to “trace” and “tracing”, tags which already exist and better explain the issue. Not sure which of those two to keep, though.
Ohhhhhhh. So I was looking at the art we have tagged jollyrogers5, and except for those two of Rainbow Dash/Rarity, they all looked pretty similar. I figured RD/RA were just the artist trying a different style. But then I saw his DA page and it’s like he went from this and this to this and this (which definitely looks familiar) practically overnight.
All of them look very little alike in style and with some I think I have seen the image before but not as a humanized pony.
This one I think a have seen as an anime-ish girl with dark skin, whitish hair, and a light purple bikini.
There is very little stylistic consistency between their different pieces. Yes, I do believe you’re right.
What makes you say that?
