Description

Their brief explanations:  
#1 - Distrust: Twilight didn’t trust Applejack and refused to let go, eventually pulling them both off the edge. Together they were too heavy for the pegasus ponies to catch! Twilight teleported to safety at the last minute. Applejack did not…  
#2 - Misunderstanding: Having been attacked by the other ponies the manticore, still on edge, lashes out at the well-meaning Fluttershy. The other make a run for it whilst the manticore is distracted…  
#3 - Panic: Remember how Twilight yells at Pinkie to “RUN”? In this version she does, running at breakneck speed off into the darkness of the Everfree Forest. The Everfree Forest is not a safe place and Pinkie fares the worst…  
#4 - Pain: Faced with a giant sea serpent Rarity has a plan that involves ripping out one of its scales.* The pain causes the sea serpent to lose his friendly personality. The remaining ponies cross by other means (Rainbow Dash flies, Twilight teleports).  
#5 - Obsession: Rainbow Dash leaps at the opportunity to join the Shadowbolts. The illusions take Rainbow Dash onto a never ending journey through eternal night. Her disloyalty to Celestia’s forces meant she was “rewarded” with eternal life in a wraith-like state (otherwise it’d make a dull picture). Without her there Twilight (the last remaining pony) was forced to teleport across…  
#6 - Treason: Without her friends to help activate the Elements, Twilight loses in the fight against Nightmare Moon. A new era of eternal night begins and the penalty for treason is severe.
 
  • Scales are very much a part of a reptile’s skin (the “shedding” sheds the top layer, not the whole scale). Pulling one out is less like pulling out a strand of hair, more like ripping out someone’s fingernail.

That leaves a count of 1 kinetic damage, 3 eaten, and 2 magically drained. Unless, of course, Pinkie becomes one of the forest inhabitants, in which case the eaten and magic death counts are swapped.
As soon as Fluttershy recovered from the emotional shock of the attack, her thoughts looped on how her bones felt remarkably intact. Her eyes opened to see the carnivorous beast towering over her, but she could not scramble away as the sting had already paralyzed her hind legs. The beast seemingly understood her wordless squeal and pointing as he swiped his injured paw on the ground, dislodging the thorn.
She vainly screamed for help as his mouth descended to grab her neck. The fact she could feel his jaws grasping her lifeline between head and body meant he had not crunched through her skull for an instant meal. In fact, as she felt herself being dragged, his grasp was that of a mother manticore transporting her to safety instead of crushing strangulation a pony would expect from a hungry cat.
As she grew dizzy and sleepy, the motion stopped, and she felt her body being deposited on grass instead of rocks and leaf litter. Her upward-facing eye stared unfocused at the eternal night sky as she felt the sunbeam manticore’s body heat comfort her into an afternoon nap.
If the sun were to have risen, a pegasus flying at dawn would have revealed a clearing with a bull’s-eye of blood at its center. Had that pegasus landed, he would find miscellaneous bones, feathers, and chunks of hide with no skull to be found.

I bet Nightmare Moon has something to deal with Discord if she takes over.  
Like destroying his statue and killing him when he’s in that state, something that would probably be against what Celestia does.(NMM will probably use some dark power/magic to ensure Discord’s powers can’t save him from death and have him be a powerless spirit for good).

I imagine that under Discord´s rule Tartarus gate´s were far easier to open, so all of its creatures would escape, Tirek among them. Now that I think about it, we ignore what kind of evil forces it hosts, so there is a pretty high chance of something worse and more powerful than Discord coming out of there. That would lead to the most awesome war for power ever seen. And Equestria´s inhabitants… well… I suppose they would be the prize?

@GUILLE832 Discord enjoys chaos, GRIM UND DORK is hardly all that chaotic once it wins, so he would probably set Chrysalis and Sombra against one another, with Chryssy set up to be the eventual winner. He’d definitely put poison joke in everything though.

Unimpressive

Well, night wouldn´t last for much longer. Discord would break free eventually and topple Nightamre Moon, plunging the world into eternal chaos which is even worse. Then, Chrysalis would invade the chaotic Equestria and establish her tropes there under Discord´s tutelage, and after the reappearance of the Chrystal Empire and without anyone to protect ti Sombra would reflect his drakness across the entire Equestria. Oh, and Everfree would invade as well the territory. Woah, these girl´s labor deserves some more recognition.

Hmmmn… Didn’t Twilight get teleportation from Nightmare Moon? She doesn’t wink out for the first time until after Nightmare Moon used it on her, and in a later episode, she’s still learning how it works.

Except Moonie wasn’t clever enough to beat a bunch of neurotic ponies despite being a minor eldritch abomination and having an entire death-forest to kill them with. Then again, it is a kids show so she had to be handicapped to the point of hammy mental retardation anyways.
