Sombra is a gruff tough guy with a soft side for his wife.  
Twilight is a no-nonsense caring wife.
 
And the author really likes that kind of pairings.

It’s not that I hate the pairing myself. Yes, I don’t really ship it considering it doesn’t make much sense, unless you count reforming him or a unique reason, but I don’t hate it. The way that blunt has been going about framing the backstory for the blog has been confusing. We have an anthro style origin comic, we have this entire ask tumblr, and then we have a supposed sequel comic about to be drawn. Plus we still won’t know the WHOLE origins considering My Little Slave supposedly isn’t done yet. The story just needs improvement is what I’m trying to prove.

No, the story kind of stops, Sombra gets reformed somehow, then we end up here.  
Author said something about explaining in the sequel comic that isn’t even out yet.  
It’s all a big ball of fuck.

Doesn’t the artist think it’s a bit early do be doing that?
 
I mean, let the audience get antiquated to the characters and setup before you thrown this in there. Clearly something HUGE happened to Twilight and sombra to get here, and we haven’t got a single hint of twis friends, celestia, cadence or anything.
 
Or are we supposed to have all bought a copy of that porn they wrote that’s set before this?
