Oh man, too bad you didn’t enjoy it.  
Though I did hear, the anime isn’t a good representation of the game, in which there is quite some time and character-interactions between each “Class Trial”, and it doesn’t feel like the students die like lemmings.  
On the other hand, it makes the deaths of certain characters even harder to watch, so dunno if this is a pro or contra…  
Also: Monokuma is one of the most sadistic and trollish characters I’ve seen.  
Could almost compete with Bernkastel, which is really saying something.

I know, I’ve seen the Let’s Play of the original game and a huge fan. (15 students and robot bear, not teddy bear.) It’s a classic fake out to shock the viewers but I can see how it could be seen in poor taste.

the plot is about 12 students that are trapped in a school by a sadistic teddy bear (seriously), only the one that manage to do a perfect assassination and not be discovered by the others will be “graduate” and allowed to escape.  
first episode, cute girl who wants to be friends with the MC is killed in cold blood.  
Second episode, another girl tries to defeat the bear and he impales her from all the sides with lances, then they discover the killer of the first girl and fucking bear kills him in a irony way (guy was a pro baseball player, so the bear shots him to death with a baseball balls machine gun), the worst part is that the guy killed the girl in self defense…she was planning to kill him.  
after that i told my friend “FUCK YOU AND THIS ANIME!” and ragequit.
