Sorta, the whole premise of the story is that it takes place ten years after Robotnicks’ fall, an alternate timeline. Except in this universe it’s more expanded to just Sonic and co., Like you have other characters as well like Crash Bandicoot who in this world hails from Empire City (locale from the game Infamous).
 
I could go on and on about what characters I was throwing in and why, but to cut to the chase the overall plot was that the city of Mobotropolis is basicaly going to hell in a hand basket and nobody seems to care. The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix have disbanded to try and get back to living normal lives (though that depends on what you’d consider normal.) But certain events happen that cause both the Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix to band together once more. But only this time they’ve taken the law into their own hands becoming vigilantes and taking the fight to those responsible for the state the city is in.
 
It’s not as black and white as it seems (at least that’s what I plan on) because morality plays a pivotal role in all of this. Beacause some characters just want to see criminals behind bars while others feel that the only good place for criminal scum is in a mourge with a toe tag.
 
So theres definitely some conflict there. I’ll admit though the first two chapters I’ve put up are in a desperate need of a re-write. I just haven’t been able to continue because I’m currently without a computer (you can only do so much on a console.)
 
I’m going to continue working on it eventually, it’s just I’m kinda on a forced hiatus at this time.

Well I only say that because I’ve been toying with the idea for this fan fic that I was working on a few years back. It’s like in this set universe Antoine is like a cross between Gambit and Casey Jones, like a swashbuckler that uses baseball bats.

Is it weird that I can picture Antoine in a Casey Jones getup?

Granted, Antoine was kinda a wuss in the SatA.M. show, and earlier comics, but the later comics he became more competent, and a good Freedom Fighter. (So he’s had good character development.)  
The comic Antoine, and SatA.M. Antoine are almost like 2 different characters now. (Though, writer Ian Flynn brought back some of his comical aspects, while still keeping him badass.)
 
Sometimes even “wussy” SatA.M. Antoine would do something cool to.
 
Also, the AntoineXBunnie relationship wasn’t in the SatA.M. show, just the comic series. (In fact, they both got married in the comic.)

Antoine may be a bit stuck-up, but at least he isn’t a useless waste of space like Blueblood.
 
…then again, in my head canon Blueblood can be quite ballsy when you push him enough…but still no Antoine.

Maybe try St john from the comic, He was basically James bond.  
I can see blue Blood acting a fool, likely to deliberately not get involved with an element bearer/State asset, but still hang around and keep an eye on her as part of his job.

No, I have too much respect for Antoine to do that to him.  
He was a normal mode badass by TVTrope standards, Sonic had speed, Bunnie: cybernetics, Sally: Her entire upbringing etc  
Him? A fucking sword and the balls to take on armor plated, cloaking, flight capable, fully weaponized terminators.
