For my version of the episode, Spike and his pony friends understood why the Diamond Dogs took Rarity, and decided to help them out, by working together and finding gems for Rarity and the Diamond Dogs. After that, Twilight and Spike reported the Diamond Dogs’ friendship lesson: Never take someone without a reason, ask for help and understand why you need it.
